Favorite--reguarded with special favor or preference

When one of us recieves what we consider to be a special blessing from the LORD we will laugh and tell the others "See I told you I was his Favorite".

Something changed for me today

Today I told him "You ARE my favorite".

HIGHLIGHT OF THE HOLIDAY

I have been thinking about what I would like to do with this space. I just wanted a place to share what is going on in my life with you. We live in such a busy time its nice to be able to communicate on a larger level.

I will be writing about my work and my relationship with Jesus. I will share some pictures of some of the things we make in our shop. Hopefully you will find it interesting enough to stay in touch.

I have been working some more on room I am redoing. I got sidetracked through the holidays but I am back on track now. I have the window treatments up but they need a little more work before I take pictures to show. Junior, my husband made the headboard but I haven't upholstered it yet. Hopefully I will get that done soon.

One of the highlights of my holiday was doing a Beth Moore bible study with some of my close friends. We did "Stepping Up" which is one of her later studies. Its about the Psalms 0f Ascent, which are the psalms that were sung during the festivals celebrated by the Jews as they were traveling to and from the temple in Jerusalem. It was very interesting to learn about all the history that surrounds these Psalms but for me it was life changing. I came to see this life as a pilgrimage and many of the things in this life that are so hard soon pass. I found that my help does come from the LORD who is the maker of heaven and earth. As I studied these Psalms ( for your information they are Psalms 120 through 134) and began to see how they applied to my life today it was very uplifting. At the end of each one we studied we then wrote our own. One of my favorites is Psalm 122. Here is my version.

  1. My heart is filled with joy when my companions say "We will go to church.
  2. We are firmly planted in beautiful Lexington, KY
  3. Our city bustles with activity, with fences and farms surrounding her.
  4. She is filled with GOD honoring churches, Where people gather to worship.
  5. We are blessed with a place for godly (I pray) justice to be served.
  6. Oh GOD please prosper this city, As she humbles herself before you.
  7. May she be a place of peace and known for her safety.
  8. I will pray for Lexington, KY, Because I love my people who live here.
  9. And because the LORD is known here, I will pray for you like no other.

It gives me joy to see how GOD's word is so relevant to us today. Well I hope to visit with you some more soon.
