BLACK AND WHITE
Yesterday as we discussed our study of John 13 and 14 our discussion turned to Judas and the betrayal of JESUS. We were intriged by JESUS who showed such love for Judas as to wash his feet and feed him before releasing him to do his dirty deed. It looked like he was given every chance to repent and change the course of history.
So then we started to ponder, Was it possible for him repent? Was he chosen for failure with no possible repreve. What about all the prophesies? Was it impossible for him to repent after the fact instead of killing himself? What about Peter whose betrayal of Christ brought shame that would send most to the tree that Judas hung from. But Peter repented and became an apostle.
To me it has always been Black and White. I believe in an All Knowing GOD who cannot do evil. While we are stuck here in time, My GOD is not! My GOD has seen the whole movie. He has seen the final scenes. So of course he wrote propheies. But that don't mean he took away our choices. No matter how many times you watch a movie, it will always end the same way. But while they were filming, you can rest assured that changes were made. Just like when we pray and GOD changes circumstances, so it is in film making. The work has to be done to get to the final finished product. But when it is completed and released...'thats all folks'.
So the moral of the story for me is 'I have choices to make and there is work to be done. How will my name go down in history? will I repent each time I fall and be like Peter? or will I regret some of my choices but be too prideful to repent, losing my very life?' What about you?

Charlotte! I wondered to myself... I should check and see if Charlotte has posted something... and you did!
This is such a difficult question, isn't it? It is definitely one that I can't get my finite brain around and with faith trust our God to be who He is - good... all the time.
Much love to you, Siesta. I've been missing you and Jackie.
